Why did you choose FMC Data Solutions?
At FMC Data Solutions, we work in an agile environment to develop the best dialysis therapies for our patients with the help of Data Science. We benefit greatly from the vertical integration of the Fresenius Group: we can use both sensor data and patient data. Working every day to improve people’s quality of life is very motivating.
What are you currently working on?
I am working on various aspects of hemodialysis. We approach it from three directions: Firstly, we are analyzing the extent to which we can further individualize the therapy, for example, by making intelligent suggestions for therapy parameters to hospital staff or by using sensor data from previous therapies to detect thrombosis at an earlier stage. Secondly, we use sensor data to analyze the clinical process and thus make the therapy more comfortable for the patients. Thirdly, we are working on digitizing hospitals to enable better organization of therapy centers, especially in technologically less developed regions.
What do you particularly like about your work?
There is a global team spirit in which everyone works together to improve the lives of patients. In addition, there is a lot of freedom to develop and implement solutions.
What do you need to bring along to work in this job?
We are in constant exchange with engineers, nurses and doctors. Therefore, you have to be able to communicate well. Since we are faced with new challenges every day, creativity and the will to find new solutions are prerequisites for successful work.
What would your advice to applicants be?
We are a young, dynamic team with various profiles and roles. I can only recommend an application!
